City Heads To Santa Barbara For Playoff Opener

San Diego City recently captured its third consecutive PCAC championship after going undefeated (10-0) in conference play.
Head Coach Jami Jones was named PCAC Coach of the Year for the third year in a row as she had led the Knights to a 25-1 record over the last three conference seasons.
Sophomores Angie Palmerin and Betty Gezahegne earned PCAC Doubles Team of the Year after winning all 10 of their conference matches.
As a team, the Knights also received the PCAC Sportsmanship award.
The Knights finished the regular season with a 14-6 record and will head into Tuesday's playoff having won six in a row.
The match against Santa Barbara (11-2) be the second meeting of the season with SBCC edging out the Knights, 5-4, on Feb. 6.
The Knights won the No. 1 and No. 2 doubles matches that day, but were only able to win the No. 4 and No. 5 singles matches.
The winner of Tuesday's match will advance to play either No. 2 Orange Coast or No. 7 Ventura on April 14.
