San Diego City won both games of a doubleheader against Rio Hondo on Saturday and followed that up with a 5-4 home win over Imperial Valley on Tuesday to extend the win streak to three.
All but one Knight got a hit against IVC and four recorded two hits, including Rylee Leon who helped her own cause by going 2-for-3 with two RBI while pitching a complete game.
Leon put the Knights ahead in the bottom of the first by driving in two runs on her single to left field.
Three innings later, Isabella Beltran hit a triple that scored Natalya Powers to give the Knights a 3-0 advantage.
Nicole Fonti, who also went 2-for-3 on the day, hit an RBI single in the 4th to put City ahead by four and Savannah Turner got her second hit of the game in the 5th, which scored Dakota Chazaro from third base.
It was looking like Leon was going to pitch a shutout entering the top of the 7th, but Imperial Valley put together a big rally that nearly ruined the day for the Knights.
The Desert Warriors scored four runs off four hits to get within a run and still had runners at first and second base with two out, but Leon was able to get the final batter to foul out and end the game as the Knights hung on for their first PCAC win of the season.
