SINGLETON HITS SIX 3-POINTERS IN KNIGHTS' 83-73 WIN OVER MESA
The Knights are off to a 2-0 start in the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference after defeating Mesa, 83-73, at Harry West Gymnasium on Wednesday night. Sophomore guard Caleb Singleton hit 6-of-12 from three-point territory and led the Knights with 20 points.

Four other Knights scored in double figures, including sophomore forward Stacey Lambert who recorded his second double-double of the season with 16 points and 10 rebounds.
Sophomore guard Christian Jones scored 14 points and dished out seven assists, while sophomore forward Chris Burton put in 13 points. Freshman guard Marcus Brumsey came off the bench to score 10 points.
The Knights held a 43-37 halftime lead and then scored the first seven points of the second half to go ahead by 13 points. SDCC eventually went up by as many as 16 points, but Mesa, led by JJ Coleman's game-high 24 points, made it interesting in the final minutes with a 17-6 run to get back to within five points with 4:06 remaining.
Singleton, however, hit two big 3-pointers in the midst of a 10-1 run over the next 2:40 to help the Knights pull away.
The Knights shot 51.7 percent from the field while holding Mesa to 44.8 percent. It was the second consecutive game that the Knights have shot over 50 percent and the sixth time this season.
SDCC will travel to Imperial Valley on Friday, January 16. The Knights' next home game will be on Wednesday, January 21 against Southwestern.
